Ring No. 4 with missing parts, patches, repairs, oxidation, structure and a knot. Twist the ring and it will show the polished silver side – and when you're in the mood, the mended side.
Mr. X started as a whole, smooth ring. Then I removed parts of it and mended the holes with patches of silver, and over the mending I put a knot of silver wire that forms a cross – hence the name.
The ring has two sides. One is shiny and polished, the other bears the patches, oxidation and structure. You choose which one you show.
The ring belongs to the series Reclaimed: rings shaped by crime and repair, where the imperfect is allowed to take place.
