Double Axes

Axes, bridges, springs, and wire are themes that propelled this ring. There is beauty in bringing the old and broken to life. Double axes, named after the Viking Age – a troubled time that was documented by its chroniclers. What legacy do we leave behind in history?
The ring is open, and its two ends overlap each other like two axe blades – one shiny and one with structure. They do not meet, but still hold the ring together, like a bridge between two sides.
The name Double Axes comes from the Viking Age, a time of unrest and change that we today mostly know through what the chroniclers wrote down. The ring asks us the same question: what will be left of our time?
The ring belongs to the series Reclaimed: rings shaped by crime and repair, where the imperfect is allowed to take place.
