See the ring before you saw the silver

Ringmaker is a 3D ring designer that runs in your browser. Shape the band, set a stone and engrave the inside – and see it in silver, at true proportions, while you decide.

What it does

• Every size – Swedish, EU, UK and US sizes, or the inner diameter in millimetres.
• The band – D-shape, flat, round or square wire, in any width and thickness, polished, satin, hammered or raw.
• Metal – sterling, Argentium, fine silver, gold and platinum, each with its own colour and weight.
• Stone and setting – four or six prongs or a bezel, a brilliant or a cabochon, from diamond and moissanite to sapphire, garnet, moonstone and onyx.
• Engraving – type a name or a date and see it on the inside of the ring.
• The numbers – blank length along the neutral axis, weight of band and setting, the stone's carat and, if you add your metal price, what the silver is worth.
• Checks – a short note when something will be hard to make or wear, like a thin band under a big stone.
• Share it – every design has its own link. Copy the spec, save an image, or print it for the bench – or send it to a maker.
